In collaboration with local artist and resident Symone I developed a headdress making workshop with young people from Newington’s youth group, Chill Club.
Working with the young people we tested and developed design ideas in preparation for a larger community workshop at the local community arts festival Best Fest.
In September 2021 we hosted a drop-in craft workshop to support over 100 families and individuals to create their own festival headdresses for the event.
The project was funded by Celebrate National Lottery 25 fund from the National Lottery Community.
