Nature

Becky has created a variety of environmentally friendly workshops using recycled and natural materials. These workshops range from crafting cardboard sculptures to developing a sketchbook tailored to activate a local parkland. Becky has led creative walks for wellbeing, incorporating activities aimed at inspiring people to connect with nature in new ways. She has collaborated with school children to produce intricate fabric prints using fallen leaves, as well as sublimation dyed recycled fabrics that feature dried flowers to make striking silhouettes and patterns.

Featured Projects

Textiles Printing with Dried Flowers

At this hands-on workshop participants play with dried flowers, layering, stencils, masking, and collage to print stunning patterns and designs. We use disperse dyes on paper and print onto recycled synthetic fabrics or ones sourced from scrap stores, dead stock, and charity shops.

Victoria Park Sketchbook

Becky had the wonderful opportunity to collaborate with The Victoria Park Project and local primary schools to co-design a KS2 sketchbook resource aimed at captivating young people with the park’s history, science, and geography.

Throughout the Autumn term, children worked closely with Becky to create a unique resource inspired by Keri Smith’s Wreck This Journal. They participated in inspirational workshops within the park, utilised natural and found materials, and shared their newfound knowledge with each other.

The sketchbook is now available for download and use in Victoria Park, or your local one.
