"Art helps me feel things inside my body and get them out”

While I was at Westmeads School Cookie and Biscuit arrived –school guinea pigs!

At the start of this residency, I asked every child and teacher to draw the things that made them feel warm and happy inside.

I really wanted to the children to have a wow moment with this workshop, so we cut out clouds from sticky back plastic and stuck them to the fabric before stencilling over the top.

One of my favourite workshops at Westmeads involved helping the children to mindfully look at a range of different paintings of boats at sea.
