Becky worked with the Power of Women Festival in Thanet as their community artist for the 2024 festival. She facilitated workshops for community groups including Beyond the Page, Age UK, Pie Factory Ramsgate, Tree Tops Care Home and ARK Cliftonville as well as workshops for the general public.
Each workshop began with a calming fragranced oil to smell, guided breathing, and conversation around moments of rest including colours, imagery and feelings. Participants then painted and collaged images inspired by themes of rest.
Through creative workshops, participants learned sublimation printing and created cushion covers and eye masks for a group meditation event at Turner Contemporary on International Women’s Day, March 8th 2024.
