As part of the Coastal Communities project led by the YouTrust with Portsmouth Creates, I created a fun and accessible activity book for adults to encourage curiosity and creativity.
The 28 page book focuses on stories and objects found at Portsmouth Museum and Art Gallery as well as Cumberland House Natural History Museum. The collections are brought to life through puzzles, writing prompts, drawing activities, and colouring pages.
In December 2021 the books and complimentary art materials were distributed free of charge by GP referrals in Portsmouth as part of the National Academy for Social Prescribing’s agenda to offer wellbeing resources to NHS patients.
The project aimed to reach communities most impacted by Covid-19 and was funded by Arts Council England’s Thriving Communities scheme.
