I visited Riverview Infant School in Gravesend to kickstart their arts week, I gave an inspirational assembly about being an artist and introduced them to the work of Yayoi Kusama and her dotty sculptures. I then led 30 minute workshops for the whole school (420 pupils) setting each class a challenge to create part of the installation.
At the end of the week I returned to the school to install all of their sculptures onto a large display board, each class visited to add dot stickers and after school parents joined in too. The KM Messenger visited to photograph the artwork.
I want to be an artist now – just like you Becky!
